In the 23rd minute, Diego Demme has a shot that Rensing easily saves. In the 28th minute, Dusseldorf has their first shot of the game. Dusseldorf finally starts getting chances in the 35th minute. The 1st half ends 0-3 and Leipzig is going to win.

During halftime, Marvin Duksch comes on and Benito Raman goes off for Fortuna. In the 56th minute, Marvin Duksch creates Fortuna’s first real chance. In the 59th minute, Poulsen fouls Gießelmann. In the 63rd minute, Oliver Fink comes off and Rouwen Hennings goes on for Fortuna. In the 67th minute, Marvin Duksch gets a yellow card from arguing. In the 68th minute, Konrad Laimer scores and it is 0-4. In the 73rd minute, Emil Forsberg goes on and Diego Demme comes off for Leipzig. In the 77th minute, Dodi Lukebakio comes off and Aymen Barkok goes on for Fortuna. In the 85th minute, Leipzig has a double substitution. Jean-Kevin Augustin goes on and Timo Werner comes off. Matheus Cunha goes on and Marcel Sabitzer comes off. The game ends 0-4 and Peter Gulacsi has another clean sheet.
