The game begins with Philipp Bargfrede hoping for his birthday present being a win for his team Werder Bremen. In the 6th minute, Wolfsburg gets a series of chances that Jiri Pavlenka saves. In the 15th minute, Wout Weghorst scores but sadly for him, he was just offsides. In the 21st minute, Maximilian Arnold takes Wolfsburg’s first corner. In the 25th minute, Milot Rashica takes a shot that goes to high. In the 42nd minute, Sebastian Langkamp gets injured so Milos Veljkovic goes on for Werder. The first half ends 0-0. During halftime, Pavao Pervan replaces Koen Casteels as a goalkeeper substitute because Casteels didn’t feel well.

The second half begins with Wolfsburg hearts racing because of the sub goalie. In the 54th minute, John Brooks scores! In the 66th minute, Maximilian Eggestein gets booked. 2 minutes later, Claudio Pizarro replaces Milot Rashica becauseof his injury. In the 74th minute, Max Kruse scores. In the 78th minute, Elvis Rexhbecaj comes on and Felix Klaus goes off. In the 80th minute, Ludwig Augustinsson gets booked. In the 83rd minute, the birthday boy comes out and Kevin Mohwald goes in. The game ends 1-1.
