The game starts and Stuttgart goalkeeper Gregor Kobel seems to have a lot of the possesion. In the 3rd minute, Edgar Prib shoots but finds the shot blocked by Gregor Kobel. In the 5th minute, Gonzalo Castro fouls just outside the box. Edgar Prib takes the free kick but just misses. In the 8th minute, Genki Haraguchi slide tackles and hits Borna Sosa’s back heel. He didn’t even get booked surprisingly. In the 11th minute, Daniel Didavi just misses a shot for Stuttgart. In the 13th minute, Waldemar Anton commits a foul and picks up a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Ron-Robert Zieler blocks a Stuttgart shot. In the 29th minute, Mario Gomez scores the first 2.Bundesliga goal of the season! An inch forward and it would have been called offsides.
In the 30th minute, Gregor Kobel and Marcel Kaminski collide but they keep on playing anyway. Well, at least until the 35th minute, when Maxime Awoudja replaces Kaminski. In the 37th minute, Daniel Didavi scores a great free kick goal from about 3yds outside of the box! I don’t think Ron-Robert Zieler is that happy about leaving Stuttgart yet. In the 40th minute, the substitute who came in 5 minutes ago scored an own goal which makes the first own goal of the season. In the 45+1st minute, Santiago Ascacibar gets a yellow card for time wasting. 1 minute later, Matthias Ostrzolek gets booked for a foul. The first half ends 2-1.
During halftime it starts hailing pea-sized hail. 1 minute into the second half everyone’s jersey’s are already soaking. 7 minutes into the second half, Gregor Kobel was already twisting his gloves, trying to get the water out. In the 52nd minute, Maxime Awoudja gets booked for a foul. A few minutes later, Borna Sosa fouls but doesn’t get a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Daniel Didavi misses a big chance by shooting it wide when he was only against Ron-Robert Zieler. Some whistling going on from the Stuttgart fans when the referee touched the ball after a back heel pass by a Stuttgart defender. In the 61st minute, Marvin Ducksch replaces Genki Haraguchi for Hannover.
In the 65th minute, Matthias Ostrzolek gets a direct red card for fouling Santiago Ascacibar by stepping on his foot. In the 66th minute, Atakan Karazor gets booked for fouling a Hannover player. In the 70th minute, Miiko Albornoz replaces Edgar Prib for Hannover. Hamadi Al Ghaddoui gets replaced by Philipp Klement, last year’s Paderborn top scorer. In the 77th minute, Julian Korb replaces Linton Maina for Hannover. 1 minute later, Philipp Klement gets booked for a foul. In the 82nd minute, Ron-Robert Zieler makes a great save for Mario Gomez’s header.
In the 85th minute, Maxime Awoudja gets his second yellow for a foul. In the 88th minute, Orel Mangala replaces Gonzalo Castro for Stuttgart. In the 90+3rd minute, Philipp Klement misses a chance to make it 3-1. In the 90+4th minute, Santiago Ascacibar just misses his shot. The match ends 2-1 with two red cards, a substitute own goal and 7 yellow cards.
