The game starts and in the first 50 seconds, Stuttgart fouls Heidenheim. IN the 27th minute, Daniel Didavi passes it in but Orel Mangala couldn’t get the finishing touch. Santiago Ascacibar commits a foul in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Gregor Kobel makes his first save of the game. In the 37th minute, Pascal Stenzel gets booked for a foul. In the 41st minute, Robert Leipertz misses a open goal. In the 44th minute, Heidenheim misses a shot by about 2 inches. The first half ends 0-0 still with a lot of good chances for goals.

Before the second half starts Jonas Fohrenbach replaces Norman Theuerkauf for Heidenheim. In the 52nd minute, Hamadi Al Ghaddioui scores the opener for VfB Stuttgart after a corner! Just 5 minutes later, Holger Badstuber easily doubles Stuttgart’s lead! In the 61st minute, Daniel Didavi’s free kick goes just over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Gregor Kobel blocks Heidenheim’s free kick. In the 67th minute, David Otto and Merveille Biankadi replace Marc Schnatterer and Kolja Pusch for Heidenheim.
