Today Union will not start Christian Gentner or Sebastian Andersson but will still try and defeat Munich.
Munich will start Lewandowski again after his injury and will start Goretzka.
First Half
The game begins and Union is caught offsides. Then, In the 5th minute, Marius Bulter’s one-touch shot is easily blocked by Neuer. In the 7th minute, Ujah just about misses his chance in the box! 5 minutes later, Christopher Lenz is given a yellow card for a failed slide tackle on Pavard.
In the 18th minute, Gnabry gets a little pass into Muller who converts it just about. But the goal is taken back due to offsides. 4 minutes later, Lewandowski runs too early and misses a chance that hits his back heel.
In the 36th minute, Davies is booked for a harsh foul on Promel. 4 minutes later, Subotic fouls a Munich player in the box and Lewandowski easily converts it. In the 4th minute of additional time, Pavard just misses!
Second Half
The second half begins and Union does a good job defending against attacks. In the 51st minute, Kevin Schlotterbeck is booked for tripping Goretzka.
In the 67th minute, Neuer makes a decent catch to keep it 0-1. 3 minutes later, Munich makes the first sub of the game.
In the 76th minute, Coman is able to pass it into the box but Gnabry misses it! 4 minutes later, Pavard heads it into the bottom corner after the corner! The game concludes 0-2.
Player of the match
I thought Pavard was the best. He scored the header and did a great job defending overall.
